Eco-Congregation
Both the parishes are keen to be as environmentally friendly as possible. This page will be developed to show what we are doing in all sorts of ways to be good stewards of creation.
As part of our ongoing endeavour to be Eco congregations and to encourage community participation, we dug holes for fruit trees at Crianlarich and Bridge of Orchy Churches in July. We had a well supported Tree Planting Event on Friday 11th December 2009. We planted a plum tree, a cherry tree and a pear tree in the grounds of Crianlarich Church and 2 apple trees at Bridge of Orchy Church.
Strathfillan became the 200th in Scotland to register as an Eco Congregation. Representatives are seen here at a ceremony in Edinburgh when they were presented with a certificate by Patrick Harvie MSP.
